PA Game Commission officials say you’ll encounter more young wildlife as you head outdoors this time of year.
However, they’re reminding residents to leave the young animals alone.
The game commission says that while some of the animals may appear to be abandoned, they usually are not and their mothers are most likely nearby.
They add that touching or holding the animals can be harmful to both people and the wildlife. There’s the danger of getting attacked by one the parents of the animals, or issues like rabies or other disease.
