With spring now here, many drivers in Butler County are seeing more tractors on the road.
In fact, it’s Rural Road Safety Week and Guy Dobenspeck of the Butler County Farm Bureau is urging drivers to be patient when they see farm equipment on the road.
“Bare in mind, that equipment is traveling 10 to 30 miles per hour slower than the flow of traffic,” Dobenspeck said. “Often times, what we’re pulling behind us is either wide or long. Just be aware of what is going on around you.”
Farmers are reminded to have four way flashers on while driving on public roads, along with a slow moving sign, which is the orange triangle.
