One person died and three others were injured following a two car crash that happened late last week in Slippery Rock Township.
According to State Police, 38-year-old Bette Zimmers of Slippery Rock was traveling north on Harmony Road around 5:15 p.m. on Friday (January 12th) when she allegedly was going too fast for conditions and crossed into the southbound lane. Authorities say that Zimmers’ car then struck a second vehicle about approximately one mile north of Franklin Road.
Police say that a passenger in Zimmers’ car, 71-year-old Charles Raisor of Slippery Rock, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
Officials also say that Zimmers suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The operator and passenger in the second car both suffered minor injuries in the crash and were also transported to a local hospital for treatment.
