Local residents are invited to enjoy a free family movie in an outdoor setting later this week.
Butler Township’s final Movies in the Park event of the summer is planned for Friday at the Preston Park Arboretum.
The movie to be shown is the Disney Pixar animated adventure “Cars 2”. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks.
The movie will begin at dusk and is sponsored by the Armstrong Group of Companies. Armstrong will also be collecting non-perishable food items that night to help support their Avenge Hunger program. It’s a month long drive that is tied into Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Initiative to help end hunger in the community.
