The last step in getting the new sewer system installed in Marion Township is happening soon.
Butler County Commissioners approved a contract to connect grinder pumps to homes. Officials estimate that about 25 homes have been connected so far, and that there are about 75 more remaining.
This is the final phase of the over $5 million project that brought a new sewer system to the area. All of the project was covered by local and statewide grants, including the grinder pump connections.
Officials are hopeful that all of the homes will be on the system by Thanksgiving.
