Independence Health System has chosen a Butler resident to take over as their new chief medical officer.
Dr. Michael Fiorina was announced as the health system’s next chief medical officer. In that role he’ll oversee the medical and clinical aspects of the entire health system.
Fiorina had previously served as the associate chief medical officer for Butler Memorial and Clarion Hospital.
Fiorina takes over for Carol Fox, who retired from the role earlier this year.
