A home in the City of Butler was significantly damaged in a fire over the weekend.
The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 500 block of East Locust Street, near Butler Catholic School.
Flames could be seen billowing out of the second story of the home. According to witnesses, one man jumped off the roof in order to escape; he was taken to the hospital.
Crews were able to get the flames under control and remained on the scene for over two hours.
The home was significantly damaged with broken windows, melted siding, and smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
