A shed was destroyed and a pole building damaged by a fire Thursday in northern Butler County.
The fire started about 2 p.m. on Boyers Road.
According to Marion Township Fire Chief Joe Fitzgerald, the homeowner was killing bees with a propane torch and started the fire. No one was hurt.
“One building totally involved…it was a storage garage,” Fitzgerald said. “The second building was starting to burn. It was a pole-type building with open doors.”
Multiple fire departments were called to the scene, including crews from both Mercer and Venango counties.
