Multiple fire departments responded to a fire in Middlesex Township Monday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 3 p.m. for a fire in the 300 block of Glade Mill Road in Valencia.
Crews from Middlesex Township were joined by those from Penn Township and Saxonburg for a brush fire behind a garage.
Initial reports were that the fire was near two large propane tanks and the Butler County Hazmat team was placed on alert but it was later determined that the tanks were empty.
