Many students in the Butler Area School District will head back to class today to begin the first day of a new school year.
Classes are beginning as normal for Butler students in kindergarten through 6th grade however students in grades 7 through 12 will use this week to receive laptops and other necessary technology devices.
This “soft open” for secondary students will allow for virtual orientation on the equipment before the first full, regular day of classes on Tuesday, September 8th.
Butler Superintendent Dr. Brian White emphasized flexibility in his administration’s plans to welcome students back in person for the first time since the middle of March.
