A hiker is recovering after she was rescued by first responders at McConnells Mill State Park on Saturday morning.
According to KDKA, an unidentified 60-year-old woman was hiking with her family on the park’s Alpha Trail when she fell over a small embankment.
First responders were then called the scene to rescue the woman. Officials say that while a medical helicopter was on standby, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The hiker was then taken by ambulance to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment. Her condition was not known as of Sunday morning.
