Help is available for homeowners, renters, businesses, and non-profit organizations affected by flash flooding earlier this summer in Butler County and the surrounding region.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has made a disaster declaration for Clarion County as well as neighboring Butler, Armstrong, and Venango for flood damage that occurred July 19th and 20th.
Homeowners or renters can apply for up to $200,000 to repair or replace disaster damaged property. Up to $40,000 is available to repair or replace personal property like automobiles. Loan amounts and terms will be determined based on circumstances but rates could be as low as less than 2% and terms up to 30 years.
Apply online through the SBA’s website. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is October 21st.
