The National Weather Service has issued a statement that measured the Connoquenessing Creek in Zelienople at 12 feet.
Flood stage is considered 10 feet however the water is expected to gradually recede through the afternoon. Melting snow and ice as well as ice jams could still potentially cause flooding to continue in area rivers and streams this afternoon. The flood warning remains in effect until 5:15 p.m. for southern Butler County.
