A longtime Armco Steel executive and active community member has died.
Charlie Stitt passed away last week in Cleveland.
Although he graduated from Shaler High School, he eventually landed a job with Armco after graduating college in 1960. He remained with the organization, working his way to a leadership position before retiring in 2001.
Stitt was active at the Community Alliance Church and went on several mission trips to the Middle East.
He also served on boards for the Butler Symphony and YMCA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 11 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow at noon.
Stitt was 85.
