A former candidate for Butler County District Attorney is filing a lawsuit against the current district attorney and a couple other Butler residents.
Jennifer Gilliland Vanasdale filed the lawsuit earlier this month against District Attorney Rich Goldinger, Slippery Rock Mayor Jondavid Longo, and residents Cheryl Guenther and Justin Castlyn
Gilliland Vanasdale said in an online video, the suit is based on information that was contained in a 2011 lawsuit against her, that she says was made public during this past election and campaign.
“The lawsuit lays out how they aided and embedded each other in spreading dangerous lies about me,” Gilliland Vanasdale said in the video.
Goldinger said he cannot comment on pending legal matters, but does plan to “vigorously defend this baseless and malicious lawsuit that reeks of sour grapes.”
