Former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge is in critical but stable condition following a stroke.
The 75-year-old was treated to remove a blood clot at a Washington D.C. hospital yesterday.
His family said in a statement that they are asking for prayers for a full recovery.
Ridge served as governor from 1995-2001 before becoming the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.
