An Apollo woman is facing charges after she was accused of making several thousand dollars worth of unauthorized purchases while employed by a local township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 48-year-old Monica Austin was employed as the Kiskiminetas Township Secretary and Treasurer from January 2011 to October 2018.
Authorities say that in September 2018, a new township manager was hired, who noted approximately $6,300 of unauthorized purchases were made on the township credit card by Austin during a nearly three year period.
