A local school administrator passed away earlier this week.
Dr. Eugene Gatty died on Sunday surrounded by his family.
Gatty spent several years as an English teacher and Superintendent in the Moniteau School District as well as the Hazelton School District where he was named Superintendent of the Year in 1992.
The family plans to hold a celebration of life open to those who knew and loved him at a future date yet to be announced.
