A former priest in the Prospect area has died.
Father Joe Feltz passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital. He served at St. Christopher’s Parish in Prospect from 2010 to 2018.
Feltz was a native of McKeesport and entered the priesthood in 1979. Members of the parishes he served said it was Feltz’s caring soul that had families returning to the church.
Visitation will be tomorrow and Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Raisely Funeral Home in Prospect.
A funeral mass will then be held at St. Michael’s Greek Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Feltz was 68.
