A pair of former Slippery Rock University administrators are speaking out after being let go earlier this year.
Former provost Abbey Zink and former senior vice president Amir Mohammadi were both ousted from school President Dr. Bill Behre’s cabinet last month.
They both spoke to student newspaper The Rocket, and believe they were let go for being a whistleblower in regards to financial happenings at the university.
Zink believes she was let go after going to the council of trustees to address undisclosed issues.
Mohammadi meanwhile says he’s awaiting results of a PASSHE investigation into unnamed claims before elaborating on his firing.
The university told us in a statement that Mohammadi’s senior vice president of administration, global engagement, economic development and chief innovation officer at Slippery Rock University was eliminated in order to bring greater efficiency to the school.
