A well-known Pennsylvania State Police trooper has passed away.
Carl “Marty” Martynuska of Slippery Rock died Tuesday at the Butler VA Medical Center.
Martynuska worked at the Butler Barracks for 28 years until his retirement in 1992. He was named State Policeman of the year and was also a longtime leader of the Camp Cadet program. Many knew him as “Trooper Marty” while he served as Safety Education Officer visiting schools around the area.
