Four local school districts have received international recognition for successfully motivating and academically preparing students for Advanced Placement Tests.
Butler Area, Mars Area, Slippery Rock Area, and South Butler County School Districts are four of 250 school districts across the U.S. and Canada to earn placement on the 10th annual AP District Honor Roll from the College Board.
To receive this recognition, districts must increase the number of students participating in Advanced Placement classes while also increasing or maintaining the number of students earning AP Exam scores of three or higher. AP exams are given in 38 different areas of study.
This is the first time that South Butler has made this list but the other districts have made the list multiple times.
