Frank C. Schoentag, Jr., 93 of Butler passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021.
Born January 22, 1928 in Saxonburg, PA, he was the son of the late Frank C. Schoentag. Sr. and Myrtle Reamer Stewart.
Frank was a US Navy veteran, serving during WWII. He worked as a trailer delivery and operations manager for Jack’s Trailer Court. Frank also worked for Bob Schroth White’s Garage as a mechanic and various other jobs to support his family. He enjoyed playing baseball as a child and he also enjoyed watching NASCAR, baseball and football on TV.
Surviving are his loving children, Nancy Wilson of Chicora, Peggy (Michael) Spurk of FL, Lorri Schoentag of Butler and Carla Schoentag of Butler, son in law, Jim (Marcie) Mason of Sligo, daughter in law, Cindy Schoentag of Butler, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his sister, Linda (Pete) Pink of Slippery Rock.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Kay Schoentag, daughter, Donna Mason, son, Glenn C. Schoentag and siblings, William Schoentag, Jean Fusco, Anna Belle Geibel and Patty Mattern.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Jenks officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in Saxonburg Mem. Church Cemetery.
