Frederick “Fred” Lee Minehart, 88, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 23, 2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 7, 1933, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Harry Minehart and the late Bertha Hilgar Minehart.
Fred graduated from Butler High School in 1951. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Fred was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed watching Tv, eating out at restaurants, and going for rides.
Fred is survived by his wife, Lorraine “Tootie” Minehart, who he married on June 9, 1956; one son, David Minehart and his wife, Annie, of Butler, PA; one daughter-in-law, Mary Minehart of Butler, PA; 5 grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Shane, Meliesa, and Andrew; 6 great-grandchildren, Angel, Austin, Ian, Cooper, Lincoln, and McKenna; several nieces and nephews; and his furry friend, Zoe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Minehart, and an infant sister, Nancy Minehart.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial from All Saints Parish will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Fr. John Baver, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Saints Parish, 128 N. McKean St., Butler PA 16001.
