The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will close a portion of a Cranberry Township Road during the overnight hours next week.
Tree trimming for future utility work is planned along Freedom Road between the intersection of Lovi Road and Haine School Road.
PennDOT officials say the trimming will begin Monday at 10 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. Tuesday before starting again at 10 p.m. Tuesday. This work is part of a larger Freedom Road project that includes new highway and turning lanes as well as drainage and signal replacement.
This $18 million project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2025.
