Freeport and North Catholic win opening PIAA volleyball matches

PIAA Girls Volleyball First Round:
–Defending Class 2A state champion Freeport shutout North East 3-0. The Yellow Jackets will meet Philipsburg-Osceola Saturday in the Quarterfinals.
–North Catholic defeated Warren 3-1. The Lady Trojans get Thomas Jefferson in the Class 3A Quarterfinals Saturday.
