A former Buffalo Township resident died in a Westmoreland County Steel plant explosion last week.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed that 20-year-old Daniel Vakulick of Tarentum died in an explosion at Braeburn Alloy Steel last Thursday.
Two others were injured in the explosion, including one that was in critical condition.
According to our news partners WPXI-TV there is no word on what caused the explosion.
Vakulick was a 2023 graduate from Freeport High School.
