A longtime voice of the community is being recognized by the City of Butler in honor of his years of service.
After Jay Miranda recently announced that he would be stepping away from his announcer position at historic Pullman Park, Butler City Council and Mayor Bob Dandoy issued a proclamation calling today (Friday) Jay Miranda Day in the City.
Miranda expressed appreciation for the unexpected honor. He also said that he is already missing his time at the park which he called his home away from home.
