Friday marks five years since the mass shooting at a Pittsburgh Synagogue.
11 people died that Saturday morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue, which is in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. It’s the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in the country’s history.
It also marks the first year that that the man responsible for the shooting, is now a convicted felon. Robert Bowers was sentenced to death by a jury earlier this year.
Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman introduced a resolution in the U.S. Senate to honor the victims of the shooting.
