There were seven additional deaths and 245 new cases of COVID-19 reported by the state for Butler County on Friday.
There have now been 117 county residents to die from COVID-19 according to the Department of Health.
The daily update also reported 391 negative tests, giving the DOH’s daily report a 38.5 percent positivity rate.
As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 52 patients for the coronavirus, with 12 COVID patients in the ICU. This is a decline of two patients compared to Wednesday. Butler Health System did report one local death to the state on Thursday.
Statewide there were 12,745 new cases, 225 additional deaths, and around 16,000 negative tests.
