According to the latest update from state health officials, there are now nearly 20,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.
Ten new cases were reported in Butler County, to bring the total number of positive cases to 123 with one more local death reported bringing county number to three since the coronavirus began.
Meanwhile, as of 10 a.m. Friday morning there were 17 patients being treated for COVID-19 symptoms at Butler Memorial Hospital—three of those patients are in ICU. This is an increase of two patients hospitalized compared to Thursday.
Butler Health System also says they’ve performed nearly 1,800 tests at Butler Memorial Hospital and an additional nearly 400 tests at Clarion Hospital. A total of 144 Butler tests have come back positive so far with 12 positive results recorded in Clarion.
