A fundraiser for the family of a Butler Area School District teacher is happening this weekend.
Jackie Thomas is a foreign language teacher at the Butler Intermediate High School. She lost her husband Michael Thomas in the house explosion in Plum earlier this year.
The fundraiser will happen this Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille.
Tickets can be purchased online for $10, $15 at the door, and those 12 and under are free. There will be a live music, a 50/50, and a basket raffle.
Michael Thomas was serving as Plum’s township manager. He previously had been Saxonburg’s manager.
