Today begins Future Farmers of America Week.
It’s also known as FFA now, and State Senator Elder Vogel says the program is designed for students in the 7th through 12th grade.
“Members of the FFA come from diverse backgrounds and are provided an education that includes agriculture fields such as agribusiness, agriscience, biotechnology, agricultural mechanics, horticulture, and animal science among others,” Vogel said.
Vogel also says FFA programs give students a chance to develop leadership skills and to get hands-on experience for their future careers.
There are FFA programs done locally here in Butler—view their Facebook page here.
