An event early next week looks to inform parents and guardians about warning signs for addiction among young adults.
The Family Matters seminar will be held at BC3’s main campus this upcoming Monday morning.
The event is sponsored by the college and the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center.
“Kids may be getting their first taste of independence or their first taste of being outside of their parents 24/7 care,” Gaiser Center Executive Director Joe Mahoney said. “They may be experimenting with stuff or getting linked up with people that may not have otherwise and getting exposed to certain things.”
It begins with registration at 7:30 a.m. and will run until 11 a.m.
