A new study shows that Pennsylvania hunters enjoy starting deer season on a Saturday.
The report from the Pennsylvania Game Commission unveiled that 60 percent of hunters surveyed said they liked the earlier start time. Only 27 percent were opposed.
The Game Commission adopted the Saturday after Thanksgiving start in 2019 as a way to draw more hunters to the woods for firearms deer season.
In prior years, the Monday after Thanksgiving was always the official start to deer season.
