The Pennsylvania Game Commission is warning after repeated bear sightings south of Butler.
A bear and two cubs have been spotted numerous times in the last couple of months in both Penn and Butler Townships.
Game Commission officials say that the bears have become habituated to human activity and do not exhibit the fear that’s usually expected by wild bears around people.
Efforts are underway to capture and relocate the bears.
Residents of both townships are asked to put away bird feeders, grills, and limit access to garbage.
They also warn to be careful about letting pets outside.
