Gary J. “Jim” Graham Sr., 75, of Karns City, passed away early Saturday morning, July 24, 2021 at his home while in the company of his wife and family.
Gary was born in Butler on May 12, 1946. He was the son of the late Donald L. and Agnes Virginia Hildebrand Graham.
Jim attended school in Butler. He joined the United States Navy and was a member of the Navy Seabees, having served two tours in Vietnam with the highly decorated Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 9. He had been a member of the West Sunbury American Legion Post.
Jim was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed working on cars and camping. He was a “jack of all trades”, able to fix anything. He had been employed at Wise Machine in Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor “Sis” Marchinoski Graham, whom he married in Butler on December 23, 1988. Also surviving are three sons, Gary J. Graham Jr. and his wife, Tomi of Hawaii, Brian S. Graham and his wife, Vonda, of Chicora, and Richard L. “Rick” Graham and his wife, Crystal, of East Brady; four grandchildren, Celeste, Zachary, Tyler and his wife, Baylin, and Caleb; his sisters-in-law, Judi Kuebler of Butler and Belinda Marchinoski of Karns City, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Graham.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday. A funeral service will be held Wednesday from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of Chicora Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will be in North Butler Cemetery.
