Gas prices have been dropping both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of Monday, decreased to $3.33 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole decreased by six cents to reach $3.39. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Latrobe at $2.95, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.70.
The average national gas price dropped by three cents over the past week to $3.14. The price of a barrel of crude oil both increased slightly but still remains relatively low.
