Gas prices continue to fall both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, dropped by two cents to reach $3.57 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole decreased by four cents to settle at $3.58. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Brookville at $3.38, while the most expensive is in Bradford at $3.80.
The average national gas price fell by a nickel over the past week to reach $3.27. Demand for gas decreased and the price of a barrel of crude oil continued to sink lower while both gasoline production and domestic stocks of gas increased.
