Gas prices both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania have dropped slightly this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.53 per gallon which is an increase of seven cents compared to one month ago.
Prices decreased by two cents across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week, to settle at $2.53 per gallon. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Jeannette at $ 2.39 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.61 in Bradford.
The average national gas price dropped by a penny this week to $2.18 which is the same price as one month ago but 48 cents less than last year. According to AAA, fall driving season means fewer road trips so the drop in demand will likely result in a further decrease in gas prices.
