Gas prices have remained mostly steady locally as they continue to drop across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.41 per gallon which is the same as it was last week.
Prices dropped by two cents to $2.48 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $ 2.17 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.60 in Indiana and Oil City.
The average national gas price decreased by a penny this week to $2.11 which is seven cents less than last month and 51 cents cheaper than this date last year. Demand for gas continues to drop while gasoline stocks increase.
