Gas prices in western Pennsylvania have increased, but not significantly, in the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.68 per gallon which is the same as it was last week.
Prices are also about one cent more expensive across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week, averaging $2.80 per gallon. The cheapest gas in the area can be found in Sharon at $2.59 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.95 in Bradford.
The national gas price average held steady at $2.60 which is 16 cents cheaper than this date last year and six cents cheaper than last month, according to AAA. Crude oil prices increased on Friday following news that a trade deal between the U.S. and China could be signed later this month.
