Gas prices both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania once again declined slightly this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.43 per gallon which is a penny less compared to last week.
Prices also dropped by a penny across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week, to reach $2.44 per gallon. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Washington at $ 2.31 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.50 in Indiana.
The average national gas price dropped by one cent this week to $2.18 which is one cent more than last month and 56 cents less than last year. According to AAA, demand for gas continues to weaken across the country as a result of COVID-19 cases continuing to rise.
