Gas prices have increased both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, rose to $3.05 per gallon which is two cents more than last week.
Prices increased by three cents to $3.03 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $ 2.92 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.10 in Warren and Oil City.
The average national gas price has risen by two cents over the past week to $2.88 which is the largest increase in over a month. While both gasoline supply and demand continue to increase, AAA expects pump prices to remain level as a result of relatively low crude oil prices.
