Georgia Bauman Ford Trostle residing in Sherwood Oaks of Cranberry Twp, PA, formally of Butler passed away on November 29, 2022.
Born August 13, 1925, daughter of the late Charles H. and Martha (Heck) Bauman.
Georgia graduated from Butler High School in 1943 where she served as the lead drum majorette for Butler High School and volunteer for the Saxonburg Fire Department.
Georgia was a parish member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and served as a greeter. Georgia was a volunteer for the Heart Fund, American Cancer Fund, the March of Dimes, United Way, and Hospital Drives through Butler Memorial Hospital. She helped with fundraising and year-round celebrations for handicapped children, served on the board of the YWCA and was a past president of the Butler Jr. Woman’s Club. While serving, she headed the steering committee for the creation of the first public Community Kindergarten, YMCA in Butler, PA.
She was one of the first women involved in real estate sales in Butler County. Georgia received her real estate and brokerage licenses in 1952 and 1958, respectively. She served on the Butler County Board of Realtors in several capacities throughout her tenure. Georgia was a member of the Butler Country Club for many years. A fiercely dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Georgia was the true matriarch of her family. She enjoyed traveling, parties, dancing, playing bridge and reading, but most of all, she loved time with her family.
Georgia is survived by her son, Timothy C. Ford of Denver, Co; one granddaughter, Dr Tracy Vargas (Mario) of Steamboat, CO; two grandsons, Timothy C. Ford, Jr. of Denver, CO and William R. Ford (Anna) of Tuscon, AZ; great grandsons, Rafael and Elio Vargas, Rocky Ford and Silas Ford; her great-granddaughter and namesake Isla Georgia Ford, Zoë Ford, and Arielle Vargas; a sister and best friend, June E. Warnick of Butler; three step children, Robert Trostle (Darlene), David Trostle (Linda) of Cranberry Twp, and Lynn Sekel (Larry) of Bradenton, FL; eight step grandchildren, Sarah Trostle, Katy Roscov (Jon), Robert Trostle (Chrystina),Taylor Span, Madison Span, Jay Sekel (Wendy), Brian (Jen) Sekel, and Alexa Diaz (Josh); and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her first husband of 47 years, Donald O. Ford, who died on July 6, 1994; her second husband, Ward W. Trostle, whom she married on November 29, 2002, and who passed away on September 22, 2017; step-son Robert Trostle, two sisters, Sue Pranulis, and Carol Bulger; and a beloved infant brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Parish St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating.
Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery following mass.
