Glenda Kay O’Donnell, 79, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 6, 2019 in Florida following a brief unexpected illness.
She was born July 18, 1939 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Clifford W. Heist and the late Ferne I. Stoner Heist.
Glenda graduated from Butler High School. She worked a number of years at the Visiting Nurses Association. Glenda was a member of the Butler First United Methodist Church. She loved her family and to travel and cook. Glenda was a bowler and enjoyed playing cards.
Glenda is survived by her husband, William A. O’Donnell, who she married on September 4, 1960; two sons, Randy (Karen) O’Donnell of Medina, OH, Kevin (Shelley) O’Donnell of West Sunbury, PA; five sisters, Joyce Giesler, Janice (Bill) Krause, Sharon (Marsh) Miller, Bonnie (David) Maitland, and Denise Heist; seven grandchildren, Kaley, Rachel, Waylon, Brisco, Elle Mae, Rafe, and Theo, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister and two infant children.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 12, 2019, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 200 East North Street Butler, PA, with Pastor David Janz, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
