Gloria Jean “Glo” Armstrong, 75, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 8, 2023, at the Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born February 22, 1948, in Bronx, New York to the late John Borucinski and the late Jean Smedman Borucinski.
Gloria graduated from Bushwick High School, New York and attended Ulster County Community College in New York. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Demicco Motors in Kingston, New York. Gloria enjoyed reading, history, card making, and playing golf with her husband. She was an excellent cook and loved cooking for her family during the holidays. She was very passionate about Greyhound rescues and adoption program for over 25 years.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Alan Armstrong, the love of her life, of 56 years.; one son, John (Elizabeth) Armstrong of Chagrin Falls, OH; one daughter, Alana (Charles) Kildoo of Butler, PA; four grandchildren; one brother, John Borucinski of Woodstock, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Gloria bravely fought lung cancer for five and a half years. The family would like to thank the Butler Memorial Hospital, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at Butler Health System, and Concordia Visiting Nurses for their exceptional care.
