Goldie M. Hackett, 88, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 21, 1929 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Cecil Graham and the late Blanche Long Graham.
Goldie was a homemaker. She was of the Lutheran faith. Goldie belonged to the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with family.
Goldie is survived by one son, Paul Hackett of Butler, PA; two daughters, Valjean Hackett of Butler, PA, Denise Goepfert and her husband Gary of Butler, PA; three Grandchildren, Christopher Lindsay of Butler, PA, Dustin Lindsay and his fiancee Elayne of Butler, PA, Cody Huff of Butler, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Hackett who she married on December 13, 1952 and who passed away on May 8, 1997, three brothers, Paul Graham, Floyd Graham, and Frank Graham, two sisters, Cora Lachesky and Bertha Graham.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Following visitation, there will be a funeral service at 6:00 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with David Lindsay, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
