March 31st marks the final day in which Governor Tom Wolf wants everyone in Phase 1A to get scheduled for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Wolf said that his administration is planning to hit President Biden’s goal of making every adult eligible for the vaccine by May 1st. He anticipates that may happen soon.
“Sooner rather than later, where we’re actually dealing with the problem where the supply is greater than the demand,” Wolf said. “We’re not there yet, but I think we’re moving toward that fairly quickly.”
People who are in Phase 1A will still be able to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment even as more phases are rolled out.
So far, over 3 million people in Pennsylvania have received at least one shot of the vaccine—with more than 60,000 people vaccinated in Butler County.
