Governor Tom Wolf says the state has increased the number of tests that are being performed.
“We’ve increased our testing capacity from just over 50,000 in the last week of April, to nearly 80,000 last week,” Wolf said. “And we now have testing at over 300 locations across the state, in nearly every county.”
Wolf took time at the press conference Tuesday to acknowledge the PA National Guard and their efforts in helping long-term care facilities in the state.
Wolf was joined by state Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine. She says that the fight against the virus still isn’t over.
“As we come back together, we have to be aware that COVID-19 is still a risk,” Levine said. “We have done great work together under the governor’s leadership
Levine said for counties to move to the green phase, there needs to be a continuing decreasing rate in the number of COVID-19 cases for at least two weeks.
